Grumpy Old Women

Both of these girls have rejected all female partners and are waiting for either a mature neutered male that wants a bossy wife or an equally grumpy old girl to live next door to and gossip through the bars with, perhaps share run time and, hopefully, eventually to share a cage.

Betty - 3 years old. Silver agouti rex, an unusual breed to come into rescue. She is best suited to a mature neutered male as she is does not accept female company. She is currently living with at a foster home so that she has the individual attention she needs while she waits for her new companion.

Georgia - 4 year old female, currently with a foster family as she is proving difficult to pair up with another female - she is quite a grumpy old lady and is now living next to Betty - an equally grumpy old girl. They are being spoilt rotten and getting lots of TLC, lucky girls!

OUT OF DATE

Ernie & Hector REHOMED11 months and 14 weeks. These two have quickly become inseparable since Ernie chose Hector as his new friend. He was bullied by his brother Enzo as a youngster so found older pigs a bit scary but he thinks little Hector is fab, and has even started pop-corning around their cage because he's so happy.

OUT OF DATE

Sophie & Mimi - REHOMED
Sophie arrived at the rescue pregnant, she is 8 months and baby Mimi 15 weeks old. Sophie had a very difficult birth, luckily she and all 4 of her babies are fine. She is available for rehoming together with her daughter Mimi. If you feel you can offer the exceptional home these girls need please do get in touch.  They require an indoor home with lots of love and attention.

Farm Rescue Boys OUT OF DATE

3 pairs of the boys rescued from being dumped and released on an abandoned farm in West Wales are now ready for rehoming.  They have completed their 2 week quarantine and have all been treated for the mite infestation that all the poor piggies had.

Father and Son- Available now
Dad is the oldest male from the rescue and presumably the father to most if not all the offspring that are due, he is approx 6-8 months old. He is paired with the youngest boy from the group who is now 6 weeks old. These boys will need an experienced home to help them gain trust in people, they will need to be indoors as the baby boy is too small to winter in a shed.

Thomas & Benji - Available now
A pair of young males, approx 3-4 months old. These boys are still rather shy but are gaining in confidence now that they have been handled and given lots of treats while with one of my foster mums. Now that they have finished their quarantine they are back, ready and waiting for their new family.

Rowan & Ewan - Available now
Young pair of boys, approx 4-5 months old. Rowan is a crested pig, very inquisitive and vocal while Ewan is a bit more shy. Both are ready for a new family and will benefit from regular handling to help their personalities shine through.

Oohhh Chilly!!

Now that the cold nights have really set in it's time to bring all outdoor piggies in, they hate the cold just as much as we do.  If you can't bring them in due to allergies etc then please move their outdoor hutches into the warmth of a good shed, if you need advice on how, what, when or where just drop me an email or give me a ring.

The Rescue is Overflowing

I now have to stop taking more guinea pigs in until some are rehomed - I am already over my Max of 40 piggies and yet I have just taken in another 17 guinea pigs discovered on a disused farm in West Wales, dumped and let loose to fend for themselves.  Many of them are pregnant so I will have to accommodate around another 40 guinea pigs through the winter once the babies have arrived.

If you are considering guinea pigs as pets and would like to know more about the piggies here please get in touch.

The farm rescue pigs are featured on the New Arrivals page.
